The trick I'm using to beat procrastination this week

Hey everyone, this is Allan. I want to talk about a piece of advice I got in a recent comment. The commenter suggested I add a little montage, basically edit my videos more, cut out moments where I mispronounce words or make mistakes, and create a more dynamic video. The advice makes sense and would definitely improve my videos.
Why I Keep It Simple
I have to be honest: I’m too lazy, and I also have a lot of things to do throughout my day. If I want to keep up with the challenge of recording every day, adding more editing steps would make it harder. For anyone who procrastinates, you know it’s better to have as little friction as possible. So I stick to recording straight to my webcam, even if I forget the lighting. My videos aren’t perfect; they’re far from polished, but I’m learning by doing and building the habit of recording a little each day. Trying to edit for perfection would break that habit because I don’t know how to edit well and I don’t have the time.
Focus on Speaking
The biggest evolution I’m aiming for is my speaking skills. I’m Brazilian, so English is my second language, and it’s hard for me to speak fluently on camera. After each video I feel a little more comfortable. My pronunciation isn’t perfect and I still have a strong accent, but I’m gaining confidence. When I compare my first video to the recent ones, I can already see improvement.
Small Improvements
I can’t edit much right now, but I’ll keep the advice in mind and try to make incremental improvements. One small change I made today is dressing a bit more decently instead of always wearing the same hoodie and black outfits. It’s a tiny adjustment that doesn’t add much friction but shows I’m trying.
Future Plans
I think it would be better to focus on my daily work and maybe eventually pay someone to edit the videos. That probably won’t happen until I finish the 100‑day challenge of recording a video every day, because I don’t have the budget right now. Thanks again for the advice; I’ll keep it in mind. I wanted to be transparent about my reasons and let you know I’m trying to get better, even if it takes time. That’s it for today. Bye, guys.
