Faster Work, Less Procrastination

I’m doing in hours what used to take me days, and I’m finally procrastinating a lot less. Hey everyone, this is Allan. In today’s video I’ll talk about how I’m using AI in my work routine.

Hype vs. Reality

The AI hype often overestimates what the technology can do. When you apply it to real work, it’s already groundbreaking. It makes my life and my work a lot easier, even if it can’t improve much more in the future.

Breaking Tasks Down

For four years procrastination was my main problem. When a task looked hard or technical, I used it as an excuse to put it off because it felt like a huge burden. Now, when I feel that urge to procrastinate, I ask my AI agent to break the task into the simplest, most doable step. The agent suggests a step, and even if I choose a different path, that prompt to act helps me move forward and reduces my procrastination.

Client Project Example

I have a client on a monthly retainer who needed his website rebuilt. A few months ago I told him I couldn’t do it because I didn’t have the time to create a layout and I wasn’t using AI much. I referred him to another freelancer, but that didn’t work out. Today, in a few hours, I built the home page of the new site, sent it to him, and I’m waiting for his approval to go live. What used to take weeks now takes hours.

AI as a Tool

AI isn’t doing the work for me. I use it as a tool to turn my ideas into reality faster. I still had to provide the client’s context, brand identity, and the fixes I’d learned from four months of building websites. My four years of freelance experience gave me the skills; AI simply leverages those skills to speed up execution and deliver more results to my clients.

Impact on My Business

That’s why I’m doing in hours what used to take days. I’m not claiming to make millions; I just want to show my clients that my work is valuable. The hard part for me is improving how I present that value, and I’m working hard on it.

Personal Growth

Today I knocked out a lot of tasks, but I didn’t have time to study and work on becoming a better person. I’m being honest: AI helps a lot, but I’m not a fake guru who says it solves everything on its own. It only helps because I have experience and technical knowledge.

Reality Check

People don’t see me in my office all day, and many of my clients don’t understand AI either. I still have to work harder to make the results visible. I enjoy the process of learning, improving, and trying new things.

That’s it for today. See you in the next video.
