I was stuck helping only beginners

Client Background

Hey everyone, this is Allan. A few days ago I talked about a client who reached out to me, an old client I worked with two years ago. He described problems that made me realize that even people who are already making a lot of money online can still have basic issues.

Technical Gap

His main problem was tracking UTMs. I’ve been solving that problem for more than two years, so he contacted me because he knew I could fix it. It reminded me that different people have different skills. My client is excellent at creating sales funnels and crafting offers that sell on their own, especially evergreen offers. He’s not strong on the technical side, and that’s fine, he focuses on what he does best.

Even with AI, he saw the value in getting help from someone who understands the technical details. He works as a consultant, building low‑ticket offers and sales funnels for his clients. He also has a strong network, and his clients are experts in their own fields with established audiences. My role is to add technical intelligence to the mix.

My Realization

After I deployed UTM tracking for him, he will be able to see which channels generate the most sales, and we’ll start tracking far more data than just UTMs. I realized I had been assuming I could only help beginners because I consider myself a beginner, mainly because I don’t have an audience yet. On the technical side, however, I’m advanced, and I need to look for advanced clients.

I’ve been spending a lot of time with beginner clients, which isn’t a bad thing, but I missed opportunities with more experienced marketers. I thought it would take a lot more experience to help advanced digital marketers, but that’s not true. They still have technical problems I can solve.

That’s the thought I wanted to share today. See you in the next video.
